Summary

Located in Terrell, Texas, the J&J Snack Foods Cold Storage facility is the latest addition to the King of Texas’ inventory of freezer/cold storage projects.  Designed and constructed by ARCO National Construction, this exciting project confirms that refrigerated warehouse facilities are one of the fastest-growing segments in commercial construction today, especially along the US I-35 Intermodal corridor.

Given their reputation for highly successful cold storage facilities, King of Texas Roofing was selected to install the Sika Sarnafil “Sika Plan 60” fully adhered PVC roof system over a variety of roof areas requiring different thermal “R-value” needs.  From ambient storage with R-20 to cold docks and freezers with R-30 & R-48, respectively, King of Texas successfully achieved seamless transitions between the roof areas, all the while maintaining complete and uninterrupted airtight seals at each roof transition, at all leading-edge perimeters, and at rooftop penetrations.  Upon completion of the roof system and subsequent inspection by both Sika Sarnafil and J&J Snack Foods representation, the .060” white PVC roof system was issued a 20 year “No Dollar Limit” warranty by Sika Sarnafil, a 20 year finish warranty for the prefinished metal drip edges, gutters and downspouts by Petersen Aluminum Corporation, and a 2 year Contractor warranty by King of Texas.
